Galfer Wave Rotors for Street Motorcycles
The wave rotor was invented by Galfer in the early 90's to solve the problem of water and mud on brake rotor surfaces of trial competition motorcycles. As we developed the design we discovered an added benefit: the brake system was running cooler. This was worth exploring. When we combined our new design with the premium materials we had already developed for our round rotors, the resulting breakthrough began the new generation of brake rotor technology.
  • Made of Galfer's unique High Carbon 420 SS / 8 composite
  • Laser cut (not stamped like most others)
  • Double disc – parallel grinding to assure perfect parallel flatness
  • Heat-treated to each specific application (to assure warp resistance)
  • Each of our designs are CAD-CAM and tested with a stress analysis program, as well as dyno / real life tested prior to being offered on the market.

Rear Wave Rotors

Galfer’s solid-mount Rear Wave rotors provide all the advantages of the front rotors when coupled with the floating rear calipers found on most motorcycles. Combining the best materials and manufacturing process, these rotors will handle everything you throw at them. Patented inner and outer Wave design minimizes heat transfer, equalizes dissipation and evens out pad wear.

Superbike Wave Rotors

Galfer Superbike Wave rotors technology are the pinnacle of rotor design. The ultimate expression of our "Turn12" philosophy of brake performance, the Superbike rotor demonstrates that while many manufacturers may make brakes that work well in Turn 1 of Lap 1, it’s how those brakes are performing in Turn 12, or in Lap 20, that shows the quality of the product. Time and time again, Galfer riders can be seen out-braking their competition late in races for outstanding results. Just ask Martin Cardenas, who won many races using our brakes on his way to 2010 Daytona Supersport Championship.

Chrome Wave Rotors

All of the benefits of our Standard Wave rotors but chromed! For those looking to add just a little touch of custom to their bikes or the perfect way to round off your custom build and new wheels. Remember, these are chromed from the factory and not polished.

Stealth Wave Rotors

Using all of the technology found in our Standard Wave rotors, the Stealth rotors offer a new level of customization and protection. Our black oxide treatment turns the rotor black, offering custom bike builders a great way to show off all that chrome, or to blend with a blackened wheel. The oxide treatment also helps protect the rotor against the elements and debris. Black oxide treatments provide a cosmetic coating to the friction surface of a rotor, which will wear off with normal use.

Harley Davidson Wave Rotors

Harley Davidson has a great reputation in a lot of areas, but let’s face it, brakes has never been one of them. While recent upgrades have improved performance when compared to the older models, it’s time to stop accepting that "better brakes" means the same thing as "good brakes". Tsunami Off Road Wave Rotors (Kits)

Tsunami Wave rotors are the evolution of our well-known Wave technology. Our blade design is completely slotted from the top to bottom, both diagonally and opposed, for much greater trailing and leading edge performance. Extensive brake dyno testing and “real life” racing tests show that their unique 270mm oversize diameter and Galfer’s 1396 HH Ceramic Composite brake pads (included on the kit) allow for rapid and progressive brake feel with great cooling characteristics. Ideal for racetracks that would boil brake fluid in a matter of laps, Tsunami rotors are designed to deliver extreme brake performance under heavy heat loads. Previously only available for top factory race teams. The kit also includes a relocating bracket per each specific application. Available for Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda and KTM models.
 

Oversize Off Road Wave Rotors (Kits)

Oversize Wave rotors increase the amount of braking surface area, allowing you to gain up to 30% more braking surface per tire rotation than you would on your O.E.M brake system. Extensive brake dyno testing and “real life” racing tests show that our unique 270mm oversize diameter and Galfer’s 1054 carbon semi-metallic brake pads (included on the kit) allow for rapid and progressive brake feel with great cooling characteristics. Ideal for novice to professional track riding as well as regular off road use. The kit also includes a relocating bracket per each specific application. Available for Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda and KTM models.

Floating Front Off Road Wave Rotors
