Oil only flows through the RMV unit when there is a vacuum in the inlet manifold tube i.e. when the engine is running. nnEasy to Fit - Part of the appeal of the Scottoiler is that it's a straightforward job to fit at home. Alternatively your dealer can fit it for you - 50% of those sold in the UK are also fitted by the dealer. As there are no electrical connections, there's no danger of causing damage to the bike! You can fit one in an hour or so, but most people enjoy taking the trouble to conceal all the feed tubes etc and make a factory-type job of it.
